The Land

Generally the land lies between 65m and 125m above sea level. The aspect is mostly to the west, or south, and nearly all fields have access off the Parish road which runs from Welsh Newton / Tregate to the small Hamlet of Llanrothal. The land is nearly all laid to pasture with the exceptions of small areas ploughed for game crop. Water is supplied from the former Cwm Estate private supply, which runs from the House area to the north western boundary and covered by agreements of use.

The Woodland

The wood known as, Shop Wood, contains a good range of mature and near mature deciduous trees and extends to over 12.5 acres, it includes the field to the road which gives access.
