DJ&P Newland Rennie have reached their fundraising target for Ty Hafan!

January 7, 2019

As a socially aware company, DJ&P Newland Rennie are committed to helping those less fortunate and continuously actively seek partnerships with local charities to fundraise on their behalf.

Following the retirement of June Owen, a valued member of their staff who went on to become an ambassador for Ty Hafan, Wales’ first children’s hospice, offering comfort, care and support to life limited children and their families, June inspired her work colleagues to fundraise for the centre.  Although based in Sully in Cardiff, Ty Hafan helps patients and their families throughout Wales but as it is not part of the NHS, it doesn’t receive any guaranteed funding.  It costs over £11,000 per day to operate Ty Hafan, which means they have to fundraise £4M per year to continue to provide this most essential service for the community.

DJ&P Newland Rennie pledged to raise £11,000 to pay for just one day’s care at the centre as part of a Pay4ADay campaign and over the last two years have undertaken a huge variety of events including the Brecon Beacons Three Peaks Endurance Trial, a sponsored Cymru Cycle Race around their offices, the Cardiff Half, Colour Run, event stewardship at Berkeley Show, Race Night, the company Directors dressing as Dames at the panto, Cabaret Night, Christmas Jumper Days, Christmas Card in lieu campaign, supermarket bag packing and bucket collections, raffles, calendar and cake sales.

DJ&P Newland Rennie are delighted to announce that they have reached their fundraising target for Ty Hafan and would like to thank their clients, friends and families for all the support and encouragement that has been offered to help them reach their goal. Kate Taylor from DJ&P Newland Rennie said “It has been an honour and a privilege to have been able to raise funds for this very worthy charity.  We have enjoyed the time that we have spent working with them and wish them every success with their future fundraising endeavours”.  DJ&P Newland Rennie will be launching a new campaign this year, raising funds for Dementia UK and Above & Beyond, the charity which supports St Michael’s, the children’s hospital in Bristol.
